IN ARRIVO UN'ULTERIORE STANGATA SUI COSTI DELL'ENDURANCE (A further sting on endurance costs is coming)

Anno nuovo, regole nuove e nuove spese per tesserati e Comitati Organizzatori e, a cascata, su tutta la filiera dell’equitazione!!! Molte regole sono cambiate e molte ne abbiamo pubblicate, ma sopratutto quelle che per noi avevano un maggior interesse per cavalieri e cavalli, diversamente non sarebbero bastate le pagine di Guerra e Pace per elencarle tutte..sic!!!
A Mexico City all’assemblea annuale, la Fei ha pensato bene di riprendere in mano i requisiti generali di assistenza medica per gli eventi FEI (gli ultimi datavano al 2021) ed i nuovi requisiti sono fra l’altro di minima, e obbligatori per i CO.
I CO dovranno richiedere l’opera di medici specialisti, preferenzialmente traumatologi, che poi si vorrebbe capire come se la caverebbero questi specialisti a fronte di un arresto cardiaco un ictus o un trauma cranico, non di loro stretta competenza.
Nel caso in cui il traumatologo si rivelasse non necessario, ovviamente da motivare alla FEI, si richiedono specialisti con competenze adeguate e certificabili, immaginiamo specialisti in Medicina d’Urgenza o Rianimatori. A ciò andranno aggiunte, sempre sotto la responsabilità diretta dei CO, tutte le attrezzature necessarie alla bisogna, e assicuriamo non sarà cosa da poco!!! Si aggiunge a tutto ciò il fatto che tale copertura sanitaria andrà garantita dall’arrivo del primo binomio fino alla ripartenza dell’ultimo, notti comprese!!! Fermo restando che trovare specialisti competenti per il nostro tipo di gare, che durano se va bene 3/4 giorni, notti comprese, non sarà facile!!! L’altra domanda è: ma quanto costerà? 5/6000€ senza contare spese di pernottamento e ristorazione. A ciò si aggiungano ulteriori spese per le ambulanze che si dovranno fermare in campo gara insieme al medico designato!!! Vi risparmiamo tutti gli obblighi burocratici e organizzativi, sempre a carico dei CO, che la Fei richiede.
Se si pagavano fin ora 350/450 € a gara FEI, aspettatevi un consistente aumento delle quote d’iscrizione, anche se ci chiediamo quanti e quali CO si cimenteranno con tali nuovi costi e obblighi?

New year, new rules, new expenses for the members and for the Organising Committees (OCs) and also for all the horse riding supply chain!
A lot of rules changed and we publish lots of them, but above all, the ones that we thought were more related to riders and horses, otherwise the pages of “War and Peace” shouldn’t be enough to show all of them.
During the annual assembly in Mexico City, FEI decided to renew and change the general requirements about medical assistance to FEI events (the lasts date back to 2021) .
The new requirements must be followed by the OCs. The OCs shall ask the presence of healthcare professionals, better if with expertise in trauma. It is also interesting thinking about how this specialists should act in the event of an heart attack or a stroke or a traumatic brain injury. In the event of the healthcare professionals with expertise in trauma shouldn’t be necessary, obviously giving the reasons to FEI, healthcare professionals with relevant qualifications are asking, such as specialists in acute medicine unit or intensive care specialists.
All the requirements shall be included under the OCs’ responsibility, and it won’t be a small thing! Moreover this coverage should be guaranteed from the arrival of the first horse until the last horse is departed, also during the night time! It won’t be easy to find healthcare professionals suitable for this type of events, that last at least 3/4 days, night time included.
Another question is: How much will it cost? It will cost at least 5000/6000€, not including the costs of overnight stay and meals.
It will also add all the costs of the ambulances, that will stay on site of the event with the healthcare professional designated.
We just save yourself with all the bureaucracy and all the organisational obligations, that FEI is asking for.
You have to be prepared to an increase in the registration costs from the actual 350/450€. We are asking which and how many OCs are going to deal with all of the new costs and obligations.
